Is it right to pay for love spells?

Over the years, I have seen this question raised on various forums online, and whispered in occult shops. “Is it right (or ethical) to pay (or charge) for love spells”?

Let me take you back to a time when man was still very much connected to the earth. Imagine a young man (or woman) who is lovesick. They desperately want the affections of another, but for one reason or another, that person is not interested in them.

They are young, so while they may have heard about love magick, they really don’t know how to do it for themselves or, want “guaranteed” results and lack self-confidence.

They go to the wisest elder in the village for help. The elder hears their story, and knows exactly what to do. The lovesick person doesn’t have any money (or anything to trade with) to pay the wise elder… “no worries”, says the elder, “lets’ go to the woods to gather the materials needed for the spell”!

So off to the woods they go. They pass a certain tree which the elder needs a small piece of the root for the spell.

The elder begins to chant some power words, and out of his pocket leaves 3 pieces of corn on the ground as “payment” to the spirit of the tree for giving a piece of its’ root for the spell.

He goes by a river, and needs to get some stones, so he leaves 5 shells by it as payment to the river goddess for giving some of her river stones for the spell, and so on.

Even though there has been no exchange of money, the wise elder had to PAY the spirits of the the tree, the river goddess etc… “something” for their assistance in the spell he was going to cast.

Yes, there are times when a spell caster doesn’t ask for anything to cast a spell - but you better believe it that their is a price to pay to someone at some point (the deities, spirits, etc…)

So is it right to pay for love spells? Yes.

The question is, how much are you willing to pay for a small piece of happiness???
